The Airport has taken delivery of its new 1500 gallon aircraft rescue fire truck. Manufactured by Rosenbauer, USA, this state of the art fire truck comes packed with all the latest fire firefighting equipment. Airport Manager Rich Nuttall thanks the FAA for providing a grant to help the airport purchase this important piece of equipment.

Telluride Regional Airport Runway Improvement Update
Airport Update
The runway/safety area improvements have been completed, and the airport has now achieved all the physical requirements for upgrading its runway category from B-III to D-III. Before the category change is made official, the Airport Layout Plan and other documentation will need to be approved and published by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) over the next few months.
In addition, the FAA is in the process of designing new category C & D instrument approaches that are scheduled to be published in May 2011.
